Coroner Criticizes RI Company Over Latest Car Fatality

Coroner Lincoln again censures the Rhode Island company for indirect responsibility in a death. Motorman Harry Mahood, 21, is charged with manslaughter after striking John Kenny on Atwell's avenue while running the car at high speed on two trips that day. The company faces scrutiny for hiring young, inexperienced staff and demanding excessive trip numbers, a practice the coroner calls unjust despite a pattern of past censures.
