Bristol business man Peter Sansone withdrew his petition to repurpose part of 88 Franklin Street as a funeral home after advice from Judge Leahy that the zoning board has no jurisdiction to approve such a change in the ordinance. Leahy noted Sansone may pursue rights already set by the ordinance and suggested court action if rights differ. sixteen local residents opposed the move and the board later approved a separate poultry house permit for De Cristofaro Avenue.
