Town Council acts on unsanitary premises and sewer ties
The Bristol Town Council ordered several premises to connect to the town sewer system after a Sewer Commission report found deplorable conditions. Amendments to the Health Ordinance set fines from five to twenty dollars for violations and allowed immediate enforcement.

Water Sports At Municipal Bath House
Spectators watched yesterday afternoon as municipal bath house water events concluded with prizes. In Class C the Two Style Race was won by George Haines with James DeWolf second. the Plunge for distance went to Frank Malloy with Harry Young second. In Class D the 50 yard swim was won by George Ingraham with Albert Alder second. the Rowing Race was won by William Buffington with Herbert Newman second. Remaining events were postponed due to rough sea and float condition.

Members of Bristol Chapter No 1 Sons of the American Revolution visited Newport aboard Theodore O Gladdings Kickemuit for a summer outing. They toured the naval station viewed a battalion drill and Governor Beeckman review, then returned with lunch and thanks to their host. Two young men left town with the circus. One, Obadiah Devol, stayed a day then slipped away after faking an accident to get money for peroxide. Police recovered one and returned him to Rockville. the other fled toward Bristol with only his coatless, hatless self.
