Automobile Accident Noted In Town Driveway Collision
Frank H Buffinton of 693 Hope Street emerged from his farm driveway when his car was struck by a vehicle operated by Carl Haffenreffer of 575 Prospect Street Fall River. Buffinton suffered a right shoulder injury and was treated by Dr. Alfred M Merriman. Both cars sustained damage.

Feast of Blessed Sacrament Celebrated by Colonia Madeira
Sixty Madeira island families sponsored a two day Feast of the Blessed Sacrament at St Elizabeth's Church. Streets along Wood Street were lit with multicolored electric lights and flags from the Madeira community and local businesses decorated nearby. A grand church arch 150 feet long and 20 feet high framed the event with electric lights and floral greens. The celebration featured processions, band concerts, solemn Mass, and a large vegetable and fruit display hung above the church walk.

Fifteen members of the Soldiers' Home Committee of the Woman's Relief Corps Department of Rhode Island visited the Soldiers' Home on Saturday. Department President Mrs Mary F Curtis attended. An informal entertainment followed and home made cake and candy were presented to the comrades.
