The Bristol-Colt High School Alumni Association held its second annual bridge party at the Colt Auditorium on Friday evening. Fifty five tables were filled, prizes awarded to table winners, and proceeds will fund athletic and educational activities at Colt High School. Soldiers' Home Vets Receive Gifts From Local Groups
The Soldiers' Home committee of Cumberland Post The American Legion and Ladies Auxiliary along with James F Stanton Post and its Ladies Auxiliary visited the Cumberland Soldiers' Home yesterday afternoon. Each veteran received a bag with fruit cake candy tobacco and a handkerchief. Well Known Watchman Retires After 61 Years at National Rubber
Owen Hughes, longtime watchman at the National India Rubber Company plant, retires May 1 after 61 years of service begun in 1870.
