Pleasing Bristol Event Showcases Play and Concert
Last evening Bristol residents enjoyed a fine concert and an historical play at Colt Memorial High School Auditorium under Bristol Chapter D A R. Betsy Ross and George Washington were portrayed with care by local actors while a Bristol choir and quartet performed classic tunes. Proceeds support the East Burial Ground preservation fund.

The Princess Bonnie comic opera will be staged May 15 16 at the Pastime Theatre under the auspices of the American Legion Auxiliary Kearney Unit with General Chairman Mrs Hope M Cote Program Mrs Marion Sullivan Talent Mrs Annie West Publicity Miss Nora E Dwyer Chaperones led by Mrs Elizabeth Carr and assisted by Auxiliary members Tickets are available through Auxiliary members or Hamill's Dry Goods Store where tickets can be exchanged for reserved seats after April 30.

The Epworth League hosted a informal reception for Rev and Mrs Gilbert F Edgett Wednesday evening in the church vestry. Frederick G Blaisdell welcomed them and noted the parish’s pleasure at another year with the pastor.
