Reverend Michael L. Ryan, longtime pastor of St. Michael's Georgiaville since 1930, has been appointed by Bishop Francis P. Keough to fill the vacant pastorate at St. Mary's Church following Fr. Thomas J. Gillan's death. Ryan, born in Cumberland, educated at Bryant Stratton and Holy Cross, years at Notre Dame, Montreal, and Catholic University, has held posts in Pascoag Newport Wakefield and St. Michael's. He is described by peers as genial and devoted.
