A string of April vehicle collisions reported across Warren Barrington Woonsocket and Seekonk with multiple injuries and extensive damage. Police announce a new program to mark televisions stereos bicycles and other items for theft identification to aid recovery and traceability.
Manuel Januario transfers land and buildings to Anthony Januario and others on the southerly side of East State Street. Joseph G A Riccio and spouse convey land and buildings to Richard Joseph Travers and spouse on the southerly side of Hillside Road. To Lin Realty Corp conveys land and buildings at the southwest corner of Bourne and Wood Streets to Anthony A Del Toro and spouse.
Barrington and Warren police brought numerous defendants on Bay Road and local streets with pleas of guilty not guilty and nos to charges including speeding unregistered vehicles and theft. Sentences include fines from 5 to 100 dollars and court costs with some cases continued or dismissed.
Rep Gaetano Parella introduces bills to standardize title certificate fees for new car titles and to require dealers to handle all registry paperwork. He cites consumer costs and says one bill would set a 500 dollar dealer fee while another would have dealers absorb the service in the car price.
