Apr 26 1923 Warren Town Engineer Bullock reports progress numbering Main St and town blocks for a future address system. Apr 14 1984 Troop 2 Barrington Boy Scouts and St John's Auxiliary activities noted. Apr 21 1935 Hydraulic Engine Hose Co Bristol hosts Rhode Island State Fireman's League banquet with local and state officials. Apr 22 1937 Warren Troop Boy Scouts plans spring program led by Scoutmaster Hoar and leaders.
In Bristol Town Court Judge Ferdinand A. Bruno imposed fines of 5 dollars plus costs on Sylvester Silvia of 1 State St Bristol for reveling. Harold W Gifford of Bristol pled guilty to reveling and was fined 5 dollars plus costs. Andrews and Sons Inc versus Robert Lima of Bristol, an assumpsit suit, was continued to April 22. Other suits were continued to May 23 and April 29, including Mary S Machado versus Shortline Bus Co Inc for injuries, Alice M Shea versus Louis Abatiello for proof of claim, and Albert Ulmschnieder versus E W Day with dates listed.
The Barrington Branch YMCA YWCA announces a slow pitch softball league for 1963. A meeting is set for Thursday evening April 18 at 8 p.m. at the Y office to organize the league. All Bristol County men ages 18 to 40 are invited to join or form teams. Games will be at Veterans Park Victory Field and Haines Park on weekdays.
