Friswell will present twenty local School Safety Patrol members with new white Sam Browne belts and badges courtesy of the Automobile Club of Rhode Island. Patrol members from Reynhorts and Guiteras Memorial Schools are selected for age and size. they elect a captain and conduct themselves as officers in public. Superintendent E S Mapes notes the program reduced traffic injuries near schools, with only two children struck in nine years, neither seriously hurt. Reynolds School duties are supervised by Vincent Leahy and Guiteras by James E. Sullivan, both praising the patrols.
