The Boweenvilla Stars lost to the Prospect Market team 7 to 6 on Saturday afternoon. Darling pitched well for the locals with Read and M. Marshall contributing. The Blue Swans Mohavik defeated the Tennessee Boys Water Street 89 to 19, with Bittencourt Mello and Frank Joseph as battery for the Swans and Sylvia Matroni and Quavallaro for the visitors. The Swans seek comparable teams in the state, especially the Hustlers.

Death of Capt. William H Church Bristol’s oldest male resident
Captain William Howe Church died at his home 80 State street after an illness beginning March 8. He suffered la grippe and aged frailty, despite moments of improvement. Doctor J Hasbrouck noted a chance of recovery early on, but the last weeks showed he could not survive. His death was expected, his strong constitution easing the final hours.

Capt Church's Long Life and Bristol Ties Remembered
