War Department reports Private first class Anthony Cirillo husband of Mrs Stasia Cirillo of Pawtucket Rhode Island was slightly wounded in his left hand on February 24. Son of Mr and Mrs Gaetano Cirillo of 411 High Street he is 28 and has a two year old son Ronald. He has been in the Army since January 1944 and overseas since last July. He attended Colt Memorial High School and worked in textile before enlisting.

Pvt Daniel Moniz son of Joseph Moniz of 29 Richmond Street Bristol Rhode Island has been awarded the Oak Leaf Cluster to his Purple Heart for wounds suffered January 10 while serving with the 43rd Infantry Winged Victory Division on Luzon Philippines. During 30 months overseas the division took part in campaigns including Guadacanal the Northern Solomons New Guinea and Luzon.
