Obituary of Herbert E. Strong of Cranston Worsted Mills
Herbert E. Strong born September 13 1864 in Brattleboro Vermont died at his Church street home after a Bright's disease illness. He served 16 years as secretary and head book keeper of Cranston Worsted Mills and was active in Republican town affairs and local clubs. Survived by Emma Hodge his wife and twin brother James of Keene NH and a sister Miss Strong of Keene. Funeral Sunday at 1 pm from his home with Rev John E Whitley. interment in Templeton Mass.

A Mason for Fifty Years at St Alban's Lodge
Dr Julius C Gallup a leading local dentist received a gold Masonic jewel and a life membership certificate from Worshipful Master Ezra Dixon Jr at St Alban's Lodge convocation. He is the sole surviving member of the 1866 class and has practiced dentistry in town for 53 years.
