A special Bristol Yacht Club meeting will be held at the club house on Tuesday April 24 at 8 PM to discuss upcoming activities and to consider moving the regular spring meeting from May to April to better prepare for the May clubhouse opening.
A new assortment of ladies hats starting at 398 and up arrives at Chic Shop Millinery on State Street. Mrs Joseph C Alger and her son Frederick are visiting relatives in New Hampshire Malden and Boston. Bristol Chapter D A R to meet tomorrow at 3 PM at Mrs W W Perry’s Silver Creek home. Hydrahuon Engine and Hose Company to nominate a Board of Fire Engineers candidate at 8 PM tonight. Town Council will appoint two candidates from each company next Tuesday. Mount Carmel Circle TD TI plans a Cafe Chantant at GA Hall next Thursday with piano by Misses Malafronte La Rocha St Angelo and refreshments served.
The Easter Sunday service at Trinity Church, led by Rev. Maryon, is rescheduled to 3 o clock. Extensive repairs on the lower floor of the Hope and Bradford street telephone building prepare for moving the accounting department to street level, freeing space in the crowded operating room after a new switchboard.
Bristol Aerie of Eagles defeated Warren Aerie 150 to 126 in a pool tournament opener played Wednesday evening. First half saw Bristol’s Voyer and Reese score 75 to Warren’s 47 with Asselin and Dube. second half Warren’s Fortier and LeForge tallied 79 to Bristol’s 75 by Ethier and Dion. A large crowd attended and refreshments and an orchestra were featured. the next game will be in Warren.
