Bristol School Fights Substandard Classrooms With Projects
Reynolds School students in fourth to sixth grade combine reading with activity projects to develop reading habits and creative writing. Candace Pigott presented Calico Ball with a flannel board display while Emma Bonvicin’s history class built medieval shields and a cardboard castle. Principal Joseph Securo says despite crowded, substandard rooms Bristol retains high teaching standards thanks to skilled teachers and local resources including a small library and Rogers Free Library access.
