Carl W. Haffenreffer states the Herreshoff Manufacturing Co is deeply involved in war work under a War Department research contract. The firm cooperates with Coast Guard Navy and Maritime Commission on a life saving float and will supply a Field Repair Manual for the 85 ft Aircraft Rescue Boat with an Air Force staff.
