Poor Business Over Surveyor Salary Split

Town debates keeping a full time Surveyor of Highways with a $1200 annual salary after $16,200 in highway spending since 1920. Council President Angevine argues that supervising $2000 in work with state engineers is enough, proposing contracts for Bay View avenue Wood and High streets and saving the $1200. Taxpayers may back a plan to fund highway needs by relying on budgets and state supervision rather than a paid surveyor.
