Charles F Kelly's Industrious Peoria Life Outlived by Community
Charles F Kelly born December 10 1870 in Peoria lived in Brimfield after marriage to Mrs Barneh Heaton Sherman until her death in 1930. He lost a leg as a boy in a freight train accident yet supported himself with odd jobs and bicycled about town. He died September 18 at Proctor hospital Peoria with funeral services in Johnson Funeral home and burial at Potts Town cemetery. Survived by sister Mary Reilly and cousin Mary Kelly plus several distant relatives.

Helen Cochren De Boever died in a Davenport hospital last Thursday. Daughter of Frank J and Calle Young Goenren, born January 1913 in Peoria. She attended Western State Teachers College and the University of Colorado. Married Peter De Boever May 13 at Genesee Catholic church and lived on the De Loever farm near Cambrigue. Survived by parents and husband. General services were held Saturday morning at St. Malachy’s church Geneseo with Rev. Francis J. Casey officiating.

Neighbors and relatives attended the funeral for Cornelius E. Kelly at Marys at the Woods church in Princeville. Burial followed at St. Marys Cemetery. Born March 1, 1884 in Monica, he died at Seven Oat Sanitarium in Princeville last Thursday. Survived by wife Cecilia Carroll of Brimfield, son Cornelius of Kewanee, father M. C. Kelly, sister Mrs Jace Gallery of Princeville, and brother Owen Kelly of Chicago. He had worked in business in Kewanee for fourteen years.

Mary Townston and daughter Betty visited from Minneapolis, Kansas returning from Toronto with the S A Kellogs. C L McClellan and Susie Clark attended Bishop Hill homecoming. over 700 dinners were served and the church dated 318 welcomed visitors. Lula Reed hosted a luncheon at Block & Kuhl's for Mrs Leeda Dow and Mrs Alic Garria, with relatives Verne Shaffer, Edna Reed, Mildred Carter and Mary Geivin also present.
