James O. Hamilton veteran Alton freight conductor died when run over by train No. 25 near Shackleford 16 miles west of Slater last Sunday at about 5:60. Suspected heart trouble preceded the accident his wife and friends noting recent chest pain and severe headache. Born February 27 1865 in Brimfield Illinois he moved with family to La Belle Missouri Grain Valley and Slater where he joined the O A railway in 1887. He married Nellie W Hamley in 1889 and is survived by wife son Elver three brothers a sister and several half siblings. Funeral attendees included relatives from Grain Valley Jackson County and Independence Missouri. He is a cousin of H J Hamilton of Brimfield.
The Old Settlers Union of Princeville invites all to a full day and evening event with Spencer's band. Hon. J. W. Graff and Hon. James W.
