Nineteenth Annual Picnic of Brimfield Old Settlers Association
The Brimfield Old Settlers Association held its nineteenth annual picnic on a clear cool day with 8000 to 10000 attendees. Special trains from Peoria brought many ex Brimfield residents as festivities featured music, greetings, an oration by Hon Geon Prince of Galesburg, and a program of contests, races, and band performances. The day also included a veterans of years and a detailed historian’s report listing numerous local deaths and birth dates.

Claude A. Stone, County Superintendent of Peoria County, announces office hours 8:00 am to 3:00 pm with Monday and the first Saturday of each month as office days. Regular teacher certificate examinations will be held at the courthouse on the third Friday and Saturday of October January April and July starting at 8:00 am. The exam schedule lists subjects by day. Grades from Illinois State Normal School are accepted in lieu of county exams.
