Brimfield Highs track team amassed 65 points at Chillicothe athletic meet, dominating events. Luthy set county records in the 200 yard hurdle with 25 seconds, Dungan and Luthy swept sprints and hurdles, while Brimfield placed high in pole vault, javelin not scored, and the county trophy looms ahead as rivals trail.

Mr and Mrs Fred Steinman attended the funeral services for Mrs John Steinman in Princeville Monday afternoon. Mr and Mrs Dan Kuntz drove to Jacksonville Sunday and brought back Mrs Harriett Reed to visit friends and relatives here. Mr and Mrs Hob Newberg and children of Galesburg attended the 8th trade graduation exercises held here at the church Monday evening. Robert Carter was taken to St Marys hospital in Galesburg Friday after taken suddenly ill. Late reports are that she is somewhat improved. Sam Fisher and Mrs Kathryn Pitt called in town Thursday morning. They were on their way to California driving a new LaSalle car and anticipating a pleasant trip noting Peoria county offers pretty country.
Albert Bridson a longtime resident of the community died Monday in a Moline hospital. He had spent winter with daughter Mrs. Florence Flinn at Orion and was moved to hospital care last week. Funeral services will be held this afternoon at Bo'elock Methodist Church in Princeville.
The undersigned administratrix of Flora A Nickeson deceased of Peoria County Illinois gives notice that a house in Peoria City was on July 3 1039, with time and place to be attended for settlement of claims. The Reverend A C A Lee will have for his subject Crossing the River. No seats will be reserved for the service. Dr Roy S Montgomery of Vincennes Indiana will deliver the commencement address. The commencement exercises will be in the gymnasium on the evening of May 20. Seats reserved for relatives of the graduates.
Cemetery committees call on residents this week and next to fund Brimfield cemetery upkeep. Miss Florence Wyman, D. H Johnson, and Mra Chalmer Ferney handle contributions at Brimfield Bank or in person. Local and country volunteers cover all town sectors and directions.
Earl C Smith of the Illinois Agricultural Association told the Geneva Assembly that farmers object to declining producer returns while distributors and labor groups pad profits. About 600 to 800 milk stakeholders attended a Springfield hearing on a state milk control bill. The measure would create an impartial board to examine the industry and pursue a fair share of the consumer milk dollar.
Mrs Grover Talmage accompanied her uncle Leslie Biundy of Gropsey to Anthony Kansas for a visit this week.
