Marriage of Hauk-Thompson In Quiet Home Ceremony

Miss Imogene H. Wauk daughter of Mr and Mrs Andrew F. B Hauk of Peoria wed Sidney F B Thompson son of Mr and Mrs George Thompson Rimwood in a quiet Saturday ceremony at the bride’s home February 28. The single ring ceremony was performed by Pastor R F Ludke of Charter Oak church with nearby families present. The bride wore a creme winfall dress with pink accessories. Miss Helena Hauk, sister of the bride, attended as bridesmaid in a powder blue dress. Don Thompson, brother of the groom, served as best man. The couple will reside on a farm near Wimwood and will entertain friends after May 1.

Public Hearing on Peoria County Zoning Proposal

A public hearing will be held by the Peoria County Zoning Commission in Millbrook Township at the Grange Hall to discuss the proposed zoning ordinance. Copies of the project ordinance are available for examination by interested parties through the township supervisor and at the Austin Engineering Co office. The session is chaired by Frank P. Banson with Floya W. Brown as secretary.

F. H. A. Spring Rally Held in Pekin

The F H A spring rally took place in Pekin on Saturday March 13. Sixteen girls attended from nearby farms and communities. The event featured group singing, discussions with families, recreation, and a tasty lunch. Valma Warner spoke on home economics education and a cosmic director guided activities. County Board Reappoints Guy Yates To Health Board

The Peoria County Board of Supervisors reappointed Guy Yates of Peoria Weights and Dr C B Clarov of Peoria to the Peoria County Board of Health for a three year term at their first quarterly meeting. The board also passed an ordinance placing the Fearra County Health Department in charge of garbage and other waste management.

Father Son Banquet Brings Large Turnout and Festive Mood

About 120 men and attendees gathered for the Father Son Banquet hosted by the Yuou Ghucch ladies on Tuesday. Decorations honored St Patrick's Day as Xoilanu Cady led vocal selections and Jack Slocum toasted the Tasnesd f 0om the sons with Rev. Savage speaking later. Walter Rogers 65 Dies at St Francis Hospital

Walter Rogers age 65 died at 7 10 p m Monday at St Francis hospital where he had been a patient since March. Funeral services are set for 10:00 a m this morning at St Joseph's church. burial will follow in Calvary cemetery.
