Robert Knight, son of Mr and Mrs Bert Knight, attended the site conference meeting of the Methodists Stance Movement in Champaga Urban February 29. He was elected representative for his school to the council. He came with Wesley Foundation students from Knots State Norma University where he is a senior. Haight is president of the group and has led the organization sponsored by the Methodist Church to help students gain Christian influence.
The 4 H club girls will gather at the high school on March 18 at 7 00 PM for a scheduled meeting.
Mr and Mrs George Wilson Sr of Yates City celebrate forty fifth wedding anniversary with Open House on March 14 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9. They are parents of ten children including Floyd Coon Elmwood Geradine Wilson Peoria Mrs Thomas McCormick Rock Island and Mrs Kenneth Nelson Gilao.
The Parka Implement Cooperat d Lore for the past four years by Emer son Parus and Howard Towne has been purchased by John Remy and Sherman McLouth of Canton. The new proprietors operate under Emry and McLouth dealing on McCormick Deering and International Trucks. They invite local business and will appreciate community support as the firm begins.
The American Legion plans its monthly business meeting at Hanna City on Tuesday March 16. Commander Charlie R Terry and local Chairman will arrange a site for this year’s Chan d ren program and other necessary plans, with Commander John W. fake of Peoria presiding. Walter J Strassburger Adjutant.

A bridal shower for Mre Vale Clark was hosted Saturday by Mr Walter Clark. Relatives and neighbors enjoyed the event with gifts and a luncheon after the reception. Attending were numerous local residents and a Radley Neighbors club gathering followed at the Legion Hall.

Mr and Mrs D E Kemp vacationed in Pharr Texas and visited French Grove relatives. Bateman family members and friends visited the Mc Clellan Clark home. Loren Oaks of the Internal Revenue Office resumes tax attorney position for Standard Oil in New York City. Mr and Mrs F M M Oakes plan a Los Angeles trip with their sons families. Robab Kellogg of Chicago visits relatives. she will join George Washington University Hospital staff in Washington, DC. Brook orange regular meetings are held on the second and fourth Tuesdays.
Mrs George F Kelch 66 a former Peoria County resident died Sunday at her Corwith Iowa home. Born August 16 1881 at Kickapoo she married Kelch in 1899. Survived by husband five daughters one son 18 grandchildren three great grandchildren and several siblings. Funeral held Wednesday at St Marys Coathana Catholic cemetery burial there.
Ralph W. Herver of Kendale California recently died. He was born November 24 1873 in Bum field, eldest son of David and Elisabeth Guyer Geryer. He is survived by his wife a sister Mrs Ernest Gerrioit of Glendales a brother Fred W Herger of Kansas City Missouri and several nieces and nephews.
Mr and Mrs Roas Porter invite the community to an open house at their recently completed home on Sunday March 14 from 2 to 9 PM. Light refreshments will be served and attendees may tour the residence.
Brimfield Boosters president James Reed led a 13 member gathering. Betty Emerick motioned for a skatpy party and Virgil Traver was tasked to set a date. Barbara Abergast performed and Wayne Coop spoke on Mary Chives. Next meeting at Earlene Collins home on March 23.
Brimfield High School entered the State District Speech Contest at Prince on February 27 with four entries. Patricia Carson placed second in Class 8 and third overall. Earlene Collins and Mary Low Courtright tied for third in Class B and fourth overall. Carson advances to the Macomb regional meet on March 13 for the oratorical contest.
A surprise farewell event honored Mr and Mrs Gessel of the Mc Manns farm who have lived there nine years. They plan to move to a new home on Route 50 east of Brimfield after selling the property.

A Sunday evening mishap around 9 30 near Mem ber a carmer caused a guard rat to fall and two or three people were shaken up. As they turned from the pavement a patch of ice slid them over the curb onto the walk where the guard rat held to prevent a fall from the high walk.
