Knight attends foundation conference in Champaga Urban

Robert Knight, son of Mr and Mrs Bert Knight, attended the site conference meeting of the Methodists Stance Movement in Champaga Urban February 29. He was elected representative for his school to the council. He came with Wesley Foundation students from Knots State Norma University where he is a senior. Haight is president of the group and has led the organization sponsored by the Methodist Church to help students gain Christian influence.

Mrs Kelch of Corwith Dies After Farming Life

Mrs George F Kelch 66 a former Peoria County resident died Sunday at her Corwith Iowa home. Born August 16 1881 at Kickapoo she married Kelch in 1899. Brimfield High School entered the State District Speech Contest at Prince on February 27 with four entries. Patricia Carson placed second in Class 8 and third overall. Earlene Collins and Mary Low Courtright tied for third in Class B and fourth overall. Carson advances to the Macomb regional meet on March 13 for the oratorical contest.

Accident on ice injures guards and pedestrians

A Sunday evening mishap around 9 30 near Mem ber a carmer caused a guard rat to fall and two or three people were shaken up. As they turned from the pavement a patch of ice slid them over the curb onto the walk where the guard rat held to prevent a fall from the high walk.
