Longtime Brimfield Resident Mrs Overen Passes
Louisa J. Overen known as Luisa J. Brown was born near Canton Ohio and died after a stroke and pneumonia at Brimfield. She married Jefferson J. Claypool in 1866 and Norval S. Overen in 1900, leaving several children grandchildren and a sister. Funeral services were held at her Brimfield residence with Rev. W. Harvey Young officiating.

State Teachers Examination Dates Announced
Two teachers examinations are planned before the September school opening. The March 13-14 session and a July 16-17 session will allow second attempts. New rules require an 80 general average, 50 minimum in any subject, and 8 in a subject valid for two more exams. Applicants 17½+ may enter. under 18 cannot receive certificates.
