The Brimfield Cemetery association annual meeting elected officers and directors for the coming year. New president is S. R. Johnson with L. G. Cady as vice president and C. L. Dungan as secretary and treasurer. Ground and improvement committees include Ira Catton and H. A. Blundy. Morning worship at the Methodist Church Sunday featured a sermon on faith and communion. Community activities include church meetings, Sunday school planning, and a potluck supper with judges of the Judges book study.

Obituary: John Megan of Millbrook Township dies at 55
John Megan a longtime resident died February 8 1925 at St Francis Hospital. Born March 25 1870 near Laura Illinois he married Celia Carrigan November 12 1903 and had three children. Survived by brother James Megan Princeville and sisters Margaret Lawler Eldora and Elizabeth Schelkopf Princeville. Requiem was at St Josephs Brimfield February 11 with burial in St Marys Kickapoo Cemetery.

Charles Gage 1862 West New York to Illinois painter dies
Charles Clarence Gage son of William H. and Betsy A. Gage was born February 20 1862 in Lansing ville New York. He moved with his parents to Illinois as a child and spent most of his life there. He married Ada E. Derby November 28 1891 and they had one daughter Ethel now Mrs Raymond Waggoner of Cedar Rapids Iowa. He is survived by his wife his father nephews and nieces. He came to Kewanee November 3 1898 and worked as a painter. After a year of declining health he was taken to his daughter's home in Cedar Rapids where he died February 23 at 6 o clock and was brought back to Kewanee for burial per his request. He once lived in Brimfield and is remembered by many old friends.
