Picnic Honors Louisiana People
Old friends and schoolmates in the French Grove neighborhood hosted a picnic at Elmwood park last Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Ed G. Davis of Vinton Louisiana and their granddaughter Phoebe Ruth Davis attended with their hosts the Maher family and numerous neighbors. The Davises, Illinois University Class of 1888 valedictorian and salutatorian, were en route to attend the fiftieth reunion of their class, meeting eleven of the original thirty six members.
