Samuel L McKown dies after long Peoria County life
Samuel Levi McKown born April 25 1838 Princeville Illinois died December 16 1920 at his home in Elmwood aged 82 years 7 months 21 days He lived in Missouri Illinois and Peoria County over the years and married Sarah Jane German on October 2 182 He spent time on a farm near Brimfield ran a grain and lumber business at Monica joined the Methodist church at Monica in 1878 He leaves wife five sons William Lewis Albert Frank Eldon three daughters Alice Carter Edith McMullen Bessie twenty two grandchildren ten great grandchildren and numerous relatives Funeral services were held at his home with Rev Cr McClure officiating and interment at Princeville cemetery Elmwood Gazette
