Ellen Amanda Burt Dungan born November 24 1837 near Rockingham Vermont died August 10 1930 at home in Brimfield Tr aged 92 years 8 months 17 days. She married John Milton Dungan on November 21 1861 and survived by daughter in law five grandchildren six great grandchildren and other relatives. Funeral services were held at home Tuesday at 2 30 led by Rev R W Newell with singing by Rudolph Savage and Mildred Pacey.

A crowd of three to four hundred attended the Farm Bureau Social at the home of C L McClellan Tuesday evening. Speakers included Sam Crabtree Albert Hayes president of County Bureau E A Wilmot Eddie Sitton and John Whisenand with movies and music by the Brimfield Male Quartett. Ice cream and cake were served to guests. H A Blundy Township Director thanked all contributors to the success of the event.

Roy Lafollette Dies in Detroit Former Rusheld resident
Roy Lafollette a former resident of Rusheld township, died Sunday night in Detroit. The funeral service will be held at Camertora Funeral Home in Peoria Thursday at 1:00 p.m., with burial at Oak Hall cemetery. Roy was brother to Ada, Gertrude, Stella, and Clara, who after their parents’ death lived in Brimfield and attended school here. Mrs Mary Hartz died Sunday morning at her home in Willying. Born April 10, 1832 in New York, she came to the area at age US years, settled near Brimfield. Funeral services were held at the home Wednesday at 2:00, interment at Brembley cemetery. Raymond Overen of Dunlap, brother of Bart Overen, had a serious accident Saturday morning falling from a milk car while wiring a house at Oak Hill. He was taken to St Francis hospital, later returned home to Dunlap, still confined. The Bridson family fourth annual reunion was held Sunday Aug 24 at Clarence Bridon’s Tivoly home. A picnic dinner with fried chicken was enjoyed, with music and games. Old Settlers Picnic Delights Crowd On Sunny Day
Old Settlers gathered last Thursday for a delightful picnic with a cool sunny backdrop. Music started at 1 30 with a welcome by Charles Hayes and remarks by Mrs Elizabeth Hindle and Everett M Dirksen of Pekin. Children enjoyed races and the merry go round while a kitten ball tournament amused ball fans. Prizes went to William Church aged 101 and Miss Jennie Gibbs as the oldest on grounds.
