Mrs Hall spoke on the Guides and Brownies origin and offered help. Only six ladies and two leaders attended. Joan Charney was elected president. Colleen Coupet as Brownies leader. meeting set for September 11 at 2 30 p.m. at the C W A Rest Room. Parents urged to attend and decide on uniforms. Mr Charney offered his garage as a meeting place for the Guides. Possible formation of a Greenbushes Scout and Cubs troop noted.

Greenbushes branch of the W A Farmers Union passed several resolutions urging abolition of road tax on stationary engines and farm tractors removal of the pig levy exemption for casual labor income tax deduction duties and receipts for cream cans by the carrier. Delegates E G Hall and S C Meagher reported at Blackwood Zone Council. President De E Kyd resigned with thanks for service.
