Growers to Vote on Continued Control of Distribution
At the W.A. Fruitgrowers annual conference in Perth Bridgetown orchardists pressed for a growers poll to decide on continued distribution controls. The conference asked the Apple and Pear Board to proceed, with a survey to be run with the Electoral Dept within a month. Government funding will depend on an 80 percent approval for continued control.

Close Match Expected Sunday in Nelson Final
The grand final of the 1948 Nelson Football Association will be held at Bridge Town Ground Greenbushes Centrals versus Bridgetown Rovers. In poor weather the South West District Women’s Golf Association event at the focal links saw 24 entrants with visitors from Bunbury Busselton Treyup Brook and Balingup.
