Road Board Looks To Buy Power Plant Or Bulk Supply
The Road Board considers purchasing a new auxiliary power plant from Mr Randell to meet rising demand and defer reliance on a central scheme. He suggest buying bulk power from the Electricity Commission when available and procuring a 100 kW three phase crude oil engine as main generator until the South West scheme starts. The board extends Mr Randell’s agreement to 1952 and will pursue the proposal.
