Centrals and Rovers produced a high tempo match with tight moments throughout. Key figures included Centrals players Lindsay Herbert Rowlands and Yates against Rovers stars May Ward Giblett and ONeill, culminating in a 13 goals 16 points to 12 goals 11 points win for Rovers.

O'Neill benefited from a quick pass to finish a minor, with Giblett Timms May contributing to a torpedo six for the opposition. Final surge saw Cent Rails 8 4 to Rovers 7 9 as late pressure mounted.
