A plan proposes a fleet of touring buses to shuttle train travellers from Bunbury to South West towns. An oil burning engine and new day coaches are under construction, cutting Perth Bunbury travel from five hours to three, with buses carrying 35 to 40 passengers.
A truck carrying twelve bullocks toppled on Boyup Brook Bridge Road when steering failed. The driver and all animals escaped unharmed. The driver, initially stunned, walked away and later moved the cattle two miles to a paddock before transferring them to a second truck.
The secretary cited a regulation requiring daily balanced books taking about two hours. Mr. C. P. Scott doubted easy completion by 4 pm. The secretary said daily balancing was not always done. the chairman insisted the Road Districts Act must be followed and cash balanced daily. Mr. Siggins noted an adding machine could help.
