Bermuda to mark tercentenary with royal gala
Hamilton Bermuda June 10 Bermuda plans a autumn tercentenary celebration tied to a royal visit aboard the Renown with the Prince of Wales expected to anchor. The colonial parliament first sat August 1 1620. Bermuda preserves a long trusted constitution with no land tax and a light realty levy funds for poor relief. Crime remains minor with bicycle theft noted while locals eye flying boats and cautious public sentiment toward innovations ahead of the 300 year milestone.
