Marchioness of Astorgas a Spanish tragedy in history

The Marchioness of Astorgas, a late seventeenth century Spanish noblewoman, murdered her husband’s mistress in a frenzy of jealousy. She cooked the victim’s heart and served it at table, then rolled the severed head toward her husband. Fleeing to a convent, she later became insane from rage and jealousy.
