Serpent Mound: Ohio Earthwork of Ancient Builders

West Union aug 27 a great serpent 1300 feet long built of earth and stone stands near here as a key earthwork by mound builders of Ohio. The site, once sacred, is now a public park and museum land leased to Harvard for the Peabody Museum. Estimates say Ohio holds 10 000 mounds and 1600 to 2000 enclosures marking ancient work.
