Norwalk No Parking Injunction Dissolved by Judge Webb

In Norwalk yesterday Superior Court Judge James H. Webb dissolved a temporary injunction blocking enforcement of the no lurking no parking ordinance. The order allows possible amendment or adjustment to satisfy all parties, with no prejudice to either side. New Jersey Governor urged detectives in double murder case

Governor Edwards of New Jersey, in response to a plea from Charlotte Mills, asked state detectives to aid the inquiry into the murder of Mrs. Eleanor Reinhardt Mills and Rev. Edward Wheeler Halle. The bodies were found under an apple tree two weeks ago, with conflicting autopsy notes and later statements from physicians and prosecutors about wounds and the sequence of the killings.

Explosion at Consolidated Coal mine kills seven

In the Gake Creek mine at Consolidated Coal Company Johnston City, a blast this afternoon left seven dead and three injured among about 300 workers. Rescue teams recovered five more bodies shortly after. officials earlier believed nine may have died. An investigation into the cause was started.

Bridgeport will continue as Connecticut’s depository post office with the central accounting office moving to New Haven on Oct 4. An earlier order had required more offices moved. Hartford Sept 29 Soseph Koster and Bruno Crematle, both of West Springfield Mass, were arrested on a technical charge of dealing with unregistered vehicles. They were held in bonds of 2500 each.
