Dealers Agree On Dollar Rise Over Last Year

Bridgeport coal dealers, under Fuel Administrator Russell, agreed the advance over last year would be about one dollar per ton, with supply 40 percent lower than 1924. The price to consumers nears 15.50 a ton, while distribution costs justify city variations and no fixed maximum. Bridgeport delegation supported Russell’s stance, noting the need to keep coal flowing over price.
