Rochester dispatch reports Theodore Roosevelt of Oyster Bay was nominated on the first ballot by the Republican State convention for New York governor, with 565 of 990 votes. Boston September 25 Lotta Crabtree retired actress once reputed richest in stage life died tonight at her Boston hotel home she was 77 She had managed her estate and investments through her attorney and left no immediate relatives Services will be held in New York with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery on Sunday noon She spent retirement years in California and later studied art abroad before joining the Hast Gloucester art colony where her landscape painting drew attention.
