First influenza victim dies at Bridgeport Hospital
Dr William Duclos a 34 year old naturopath of 467 State Street died at Bridgeport Hospital after a few days of influenza and pneumonia. He contracted a cold at Camp Devens while seeking army information and returned to work until failing health. Born in Quebec, he had lived in Bridgeport 15 years and was active in local Native American and fraternal groups. Funeral arrangements include removal to H E Bishop parlors and interment in Canada.
