Man Killed in Traffic Jam at U M Plant Crossing
Chester Benedict, 70, of 2% Warrlet Street, was crushed between a car and a streetcar while crossing Barnum avenue in front of the U M plant yesterday. He died shortly after at Bruceport Hospital. Motorman Laudions Sutton and driver Henry J. Hurlock were arrested on manslaughter charges and released on $1,000 bail each. A hearing by Vorense Ton J. Phelan is set for 10 tomorrow morning. The funeral will be at 2 Thursday at his home with burial in Mountain Grove cemetery.
