Fourth Liberty Loan Report From Bridgeport Date
Bridgeport banks prepare to report the fourth Liberty loan subscriptions to New York with a statewide target around 12 million dollars. Officials expect final figures this afternoon as some plants have yet to report and late payments are urged to secure faith in the bonds. Many subscribers owe initial payments and banks hold blanks to finalize sales and prevent losses, aiding over subscription. The city’s honor flag was flown over City Hall under the Stars and Stripes amid Liberty loan activity and plans to display near Liberty loan headquarters.
