Connecticut Education Growth and Road Plan Under Lodge
Since 1961 Governor Lodge has overseen 850 new or under construction schools and $60 million in state aid for education. He promises further strengthening of state help under local control. Connecticut boasts a fine highway safety record as stronger enforcement and highways are promoted. A new six lane Cross-State Throughway will shorten travel for workers, spur industry and attract residents and visitors, with users bearing the cost rather than taxpayers.
