Easton Votes to Borrow Funds for Road to Monroe
Easton voters approve funding a state road from the cemetery near the Baptist church toward the Monroe line. By a check vote the yes tally reached 81 with 47 against, authorizing selectmen to obtain financing by bonding or borrowing. The town will manage highway and bridge repairs via the selectmen.

Bethel Child Injured by Bridgeport Car
Marjorie Strauss seven year old daughter of Mrs Caroline Trolter of 27 km streets was struck by an automobile driven by GA Cornwall of Bridgeport. The accident occurred as she crossed in front of the post office. The car was not moving fast and the child was knocked down by the front fender but suffered only minor injuries. Cornwall drove the child to a doctor's office and then home. Witnesses did not blame the driver
