Lincoln Cabin In Crans Woods May Be Auctioned
NORWALK Oct 20 Specially what is probably the last chapter in the life of the Lingo Pictures inc. is being written today when Constable Vollmer sells at public auction the tents and lumber of the concern and puts up walls of the Tin Coining cabin and other buildings at Rowangton the studio. An injunction was issued to stop the sale. The Lincoln in Pictures project which promised a complete life of Abraham Lincoln drew wide interest but collapsed after demand dwindled and creditors filed claims. One salesman was jailed for selling stock without a license and Belmar vanished westward. The Norwalk portion ends with the sale nearing and hopes fading.
