Evangelical leaders gathering at a recent meeting urged faith to apply to social issues and injustices. Key figures like Rev. Dr. Ronald J. Sider of Messiah College emphasized biblically grounded social concern and the need for Christian discipleship that addresses national and global inequities. Signers included Sen. Mark Hatfield and church officials from the National Association of Evangelicals.
