Riots erupt in Milford Stratford and Fairfield as rival high school students clash with police cars damaged and dozens arrested. In Milford the football rally turned riot with cars harassed and a girl knocked down. In Stratford and Milford teenagers roved streets while Fairfield saw a small arson on a bridge near Unquowa Road. Police detained about 150 Milford youths across towns. several were sent home with parents.

Dr John T Fleming Dies at 51 in Bridgeport Home
Dr John T Fleming 51 of 1967 Himm ington turnpike Nichols died tonight at his home after a brain operation in July at Neurological hospital New York City. He served as orthodontist at 955 Main Street Bridgeport and was secretary of the Trumbull Zoning Board and a Democratic Town committee member. He was born in New Haven and attended Hillhouse High School. A Lehigh University Tufts Dental School and Dewey School of Orthodontists graduate, he did graduate work at Columbia. He was orthodontic consultant on St Vincent’s staff and held leadership roles in Bridgeport Dental Association Connecticut State Dental Society Northeastern Society of Orthodontists and American Society of Orthodontists. He belonged to Warren Harding high school Fathers club Stratford Lions Algonquin and University clubs of Boston. Survived by wife Hilda M Fleming and three sons Daniel, Peter and John.
