Parillo State's Evidence Pleads To Manslaughter

Adem Partie, arrested in Peridgeport last Spring, pleaded to manslaughter in the Montreal case where Henri Clergons was killed during a bank holdup. Crown prosecutors arranged the plea to obtain his testimony against four companions who were hanged. Dress Ignited by Gas Heater Fatal Burn Wounds

Mrs. Rose O'Hara of Oldfield road died from burns after her clothing caught fire from a small gas heater. Rescuers, including Charles and Catherine O'Hara, suffered burns while trying to extinguish the flames. Doctors Thomas F. Bavis and West Donaldson treated the injured woman, who was about 40 and widow of Patrick O'Hara, leaving several children.

New York Nov 25 The Herald Tribune and its publisher were indicted by a federal grand jury on seven counts alleging unlawful publication of tax returns.
