Israel's African Rift Ends Longstanding Ties

Israel's relations with Black Africa have collapsed as most independent African nations sever diplomatic ties to oppose Israel's actions in the Middle East conflict. Men's Wear Publisher Plays It Straight on Garb Options

NEW YORK (UPI) Morton Gordon, vice president and publisher of a men's wear magazine, describes a fashion landscape of versatile suits and bold fabrics. He notes wide notched lapels, two-button silhouettes, and a shift toward sports influences, with denims, knits, and color-forward options. Sports jackets outsold suits in 1973, yet he argues the suit remains essential. Trends include neater dress shirts, bold ties, slimmer pant silhouettes, classic shoes, bolder hosiery, and a growing undergarment emphasis.
