Newtown Gridders Satisfied With Eight-Game Schedule
Newtown High School football head coach Pete Kohut backs an eight game schedule as the Indians aim to balance workload and competition. Kohut, who rebuilt the program, notes improved depth and effort from players like quarterback Mike Newman and fullback Tom Saint, while praising the team’s 84 season record and WCC title run. The plan emphasizes meaningful games over sheer quantity, with Thanksgiving facing as a major-appeal macthup.
